What does "corporate" mean for us?

Please read these definitions from Merriam-Webster. For this class, when we say "corporate identity", don't attach connotations of "having qualities (as commercialism or lack of originality) associated with large corporations or attributed to their influence or control." We simply mean an identity for a business. The word corporate has come to mean many things in our society, which all have their place, but for this class, let's stick with the thinking that corporate = business.

Why a class blog?

This is a discursive space for anything related to identity design. You will all be authors on the blog and your participation will effect your grade. Both the frequency and quality of your participation matters.

TYPES OF PARTICIPATION
➝ We will be reading several articles this semester and you will be required to post brief reflections on the blog.
➝ Sharing identity design. This should be more than a link. Include images (cited), links and analysis. This is required (at the minimum) once a week, by 6 pm on Sunday.
➝ Comment on other posts by your classmates.

In addition, this space will serve as an archive for any materials that I provide in class.
