When Nerds Redesign

I know that this shows the deeply nerdy side of myself, but I cannot help it. I just got my most recent copy of Game Informer, and to my surprise, it looked different. Gone was the over abundant information of a normal magazine cover. The beautiful illustration that graces the cover takes center stage. Inside was a much more open design. No longer was every inch of the page covered in something. I was no longer something that I had to trudge through reading because it was so painful to look at.
While I must say that the design has become almost what I would have expected for a video game magazine, I do not view this as that bad of a thing. It now has a feel like Popular Science in how the type is treated,
so it not the most original look, but I will take it for pure legibility. The logo type is hum-drum but at least more original than what it
once was.

I don't think it is perfection, but it certainly is better than it once was.
