Wacky

First off, I'll tell you all what's wacky. Blogger wouldn't let me upload this picture all day until 10:14 p.m. - whatever. Sorry about the late post Marty.

Reads nice. Even though the A and W are merged as one. Still very clear. Nice typographic manipulation.

On the other hand, what's so wacky about this logo? It's sure not the clean, safe sans-serif typeface. And it's definitely not the color scheme.

I think there could be a real concept here with a nice AHAH moment. A moment when the type actually looks and feels really crazy...and wacky. Maybe some contrasting colors. Just something! It seems like whoever designed this saw that an A and W could be merged in this way and then just quit thinking. This just needs pushed further.
