Night Rider

NightRider is the Melbourne Metropolitan bus service that provides a safe, easy and inexpensive way to travel after midnight and on weekends. Cornwell were commissioned to upgrade the brand identity to encourage patronage. The identity communicates the hours of operation from 12am to 6am instantly with the fluorescent orange colour adopted to provide maximum visibility at night.

I definitely feel like Cornwell achieved what they set out to create. Very clear and distinct logo that would stand out even at night. I especially like what they did with the "i"s representing not only a clock but the hours that the bus service runs. I also like how they centered the "i"s in the circle to reinforce the clock image even more and I think the type being offset slightly to the right helps give the logo that something extra that catches the eye. Every little bit helps.
