So I was doing my grocery shopping at Walmart this past weekend, and I saw a free Great Value recepie booklet. Of course, I picked it up - I love anything free.
Just a lil background on the booklet - It's a recepie booklet produced by walmart to promote the use of their brand (Great Value) in order to cook meals that cost less than $1 per serving. Sounds good so far, right?
So when I got home, I attempted to read the recepie guide. What a crime against humanity!
It's organized well, just like any recepie book has to be, but the readability of the actual recepies is rediculous! I cannot comprehend what ingredients I really need, because Great Value is in front of EVERY ingredient - uh..OVERKILL!
I get it...you (Walmart) want us (consumers) to use your brand. I don't think it needs to be pounded into our heads like we're cavemen.
I scanned a page and included it, just so everyone could see how bad it really is.
Basically, by including their identity a retarded amount of times, in one publication, they've affected the readibility of the piece, the comprehension of the piece for it's readers, and pissed people off (I can't be the only person in America who noticed this).
I seriously can't express my discontent enough about this. It's absolutely rediculous. I already feel like Walmart is trying to monopolize the American consumer market by brainwashing us - this just proves it.
I swear, when I get a real job...and have real money...Walmart will no longer be part of my vernacular or lifestyle.
Corporate Godzilla...ugh.
